Who We Are
At Pathways, we believe that healing begins with understanding.
We provide mental health services for forcibly displaced individuals and culturally diverse communities, with a deep commitment to honoring each person’s story.
Our team brings both clinical expertise and cultural humility to our work, supporting individuals as they navigate the profound challenges of displacement, trauma, and adjustment to new environments.
Why Our Work Matters
Today, more than 110 million people are forcibly displaced worldwide, facing not only the loss of home but also increased risks of depression, anxiety, and trauma-related stress.
Despite these challenges, many encounter barriers to accessing care that fully reflects their experiences.
We are dedicated to closing this gap — offering mental health support that is evidence-based, respectful, and culturally responsive.
Our Approach
We use an integrative and collaborative model, tailoring care to each individual’s strengths, needs, and cultural identity.
Whether working with individuals, families, or communities, we center partnership and shared knowledge.
Our practice supports both client well-being and practitioner development, fostering a welcoming space for healing, learning, and meaningful connection across cultures.
Our Team & Language Access
Our staff receive ongoing training, supervision, and cross-cultural consultation to ensure they are well-prepared to provide high-quality, culturally informed care.
We proudly serve a linguistically diverse client base through the use of selected interpreters, or with team members who speak:
Arabic, Burmese, Somali, Sgaw Karen, Pwo Karen, Swahili, French, German, Lingala, Karenni, Kinyarwanda, Yoruba, Hmong, Thai and more.
This enables us to provide services in clients’ preferred languages, reducing barriers and building stronger therapeutic relationships.
“My therapist listen with heart. She know what happen before in my country is still hurting me now. She help me feel safe, and little by little, I feel better.” – Anonymous Client from the Karen Community.
