Dr. Paul Novotny

Dr. Paul Novotny, PsyD, LP, LPCC, is a dedicated Clinical Supervisor with a passion for mentoring pre-licensed clinicians as they pursue licensure. With a strong commitment to serving individuals with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI), Dr. Paul Novotny also specializes in administering psychological evaluations.

He earned both his Master of Arts and Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. Since joining Pathways Counseling Center, Inc. in 2005, he has served as Clinical Supervisor since 2012, guiding hundreds of therapists through their professional development.

Over the past 20 years, Dr. Paul Novotny has provided mental health services across diverse settings, including correctional facilities, residential substance use treatment centers, outpatient clinics, and psychological testing environments. Within these settings he has utilized a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as EMDR and Clinical Hypnosis, while working with individuals and groups of all ages and backgrounds.

Outside of his professional life, he enjoys staying active and spending quality time with his family. Whether playing baseball, softball, basketball, or simply having fun with his kids, these moments keep him energized and grounded.
