Pamela Oberoi is the Director of the Global Mental Health (GMH) Program, where she leads psychotherapeutic initiatives informed by political science, particularly in addressing the complex needs of individuals and communities affected by forced displacement. With extensive experience working with individuals and groups affected by forced displacement and domestic violence, Pamela brings a unique, trauma-informed lens to her work.
In her leadership role, Pamela oversees the GMH program. She also provides specialized training for professionals working with displaced populations, equipping them to address the complex psychological and cultural challenges faced by individuals who have experienced trauma.
Pamela holds a degree in Political Science and a certificate in Women’s Studies and has completed all courses of a graduate peace studies degree. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy, and has recently completed the educational requirements for Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She also holds a Certificate in Global Mental Health from Harvard University.
A trained Adlerian psychotherapist, Pamela has completed extensive advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and Traumafokus.
Fluent in German, French, and Italian, Pamela brings a multilingual and multicultural approach to her work, enhancing her ability to connect with diverse populations across global contexts.
Outside of her professional work, Pamela enjoys traveling, photography, spending time in nature, and engaging in deep conversations with friends. She finds inspiration in connecting with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, both personally and professionally.
