Approach to Care
I work from an eclectic, person-centered, strengths-based, feminist, and trauma-informed perspective. I primarily work cross-culturally with survivors of political persecution, displacement, and torture, so centering cultural humility and trust-building is very important to me. I tend to take a patient, flexible, and collaborative approach adapting to each client’s unique needs and integrating as much collaboration, transparency, and creativity as suitable.
Why I Do This
I’ve always been drawn to exploring the human experience and healing practices. As I learned more about global and political issues, I became focused on how individual and community healing are a significant part of collective liberation. Being a therapist feels like my place within that framework.
What a First Session Will Be Like
A first session generally involves getting to know someone and letting them get to know me. I want to understand your needs from your perspective and offer insight into my role as your therapist.
