Approach to Care

My style is warm and empathetic, grounded in a client-centered approach. I incorporate Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, group therapy, psychoeducation, and the use of metaphor and philosophy to support insight and growth.

Why I Do This

“Unless we lose ourselves in service to others, there is little purpose to our own existence.” —Thomas Monson

I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental health care in immigrant and refugee communities. Most importantly I find purpose in helping individuals reclaim their narratives to foster empowerment and healing.

As an Immigrant myself, I am attuned with the struggle of the immigrant community, and so, I work exclusively with Refugee and Immigrant communities.

What a First Session Will Be Like

Rapport Building: I like to tell my clients in the first session to think of me as a friend holding hands and walking the journey of life together.
